Covid-19 State Wise Travel Guidelines After Omicron Variant
Covid has hit every part of the world, especially after these new variants Delta & Omicron and due to that, all Indian states have imposed their respective guidelines and protocols for both national and international tourists. So before you visit any part of India make sure you read and understand the complete guidelines of the city or state you’re traveling and plan according to the same to avoid any inconvenience. These guidelines are subject to change on the basis of the ongoing situations so we recommend you check the official government website before taking any further steps.
Basic Covid Recommendations for all Indian states:
- Wear mask
- You must follow the Covid appropriate behavior.
- You must download the Aarogya setu app.
- Regular hand sanitization is recommended.
State Wise Travel Guidelines After Omicron Variant
Delhi
- Thermal screening is mandatory upon arrival.
- Tourists who found Covid positive will be quarantined at home or at the hospital for 10 to 14 days.
- Avoid crowded places and maintain social distancing.
- International tourists must check the official website to know about the Delhi government’s new guidelines and testing protocols.
Maharashtra
- A fully vaccination certificate or a negative Covid-19 RT-PCR report up to 72 hours before entering into the state.
- Tourist who has both dose vaccination certificate shall be exempted from having RT-PCR negative report.
- Thermal screening is compulsory while entering into state.
- Avoid crowded places and maintain social distancing.
- International arrivals do check the official website for updated guidelines from the Maharashtra government.
Rajasthan
- Thermal screening is compulsory upon arrival.
- It is mandatory to carry a Covid negative RT-PCR report up to 72 hours before entering Rajasthan.
- Tourists who have taken the first dose of vaccination shall be exempted from having RT-PCR negative report while entering Rajasthan.
- Symptomatic tourists will be quarantined at home or nearby hospital.
- Tourists visiting Udaipur are compulsory to upload the negative reports of RT-PCR test at https://emitra.rajasthan.gov.in/content/emitra/en/home.html
- International arrivals do check the official website for updated guidelines from Rajasthan government.
Himachal Pradesh
- Thermal screening is compulsory upon arrival.
- Epass is not required.
- It is mandatory to carry a Covid negative RT-PCR report up to 72 hours before entering Himachal.
- Tourists who have taken the both dose of vaccination shall be exempted from having RT-PCR negative report while entering Himachal.
Uttarakhand
- Thermal screening is mandatory upon arrival.
- Epass is not required.
- It is mandatory to carry a Covid negative RT-PCR report up to 72 hours before entering Uttarakhand.
- Tourists who have taken the both dose of vaccination shall be exempted from having RT-PCR negative report while entering Uttarakhand.
- All tourists traveling to Uttarakhand are required to register on the state website.
Goa
- Thermal screening is mandatory upon arrival.
- It is mandatory to carry a Covid negative RT-PCR report up to 72 hours before entering Goa.
- Tourists who have taken the both dose of vaccination shall be exempted from having RT-PCR negative report while entering Goa.
- International tourists must check the state official website for updated guidelines from Goa government.
Karnataka
- All tourists must go thermal screening upon arrival.
- It is mandatory to carry a Covid negative RT-PCR report up to 72 hours before entering Karnataka.
- Tourists who have taken the both dose of vaccination shall be exempted from having RT-PCR negative report.

Andaman and Nicobar Island
- All tourists must go thermal screening upon arrival.
- Epass is not required.
- It is mandatory to carry a Covid negative RT-PCR report up to 72 hours before entering Andaman.
- Along with negative RT-PCR report, all arriving tourists must undergo RT-PCR test upon arrival free of cost.
- Tourists who have taken the both dose of vaccination shall be exempted from having RT-PCR negative report.
- Symptomatic tourists will be quarantined at home or nearby hospital. All cost for govt. the facility will be paid by the tourist.
- International tourists are permitted as per the MHA order.
Kerala
- Epass is mandatory. Register on this site to get an e pass.
- Thermal screening is mandatory upon arrival.
- It is mandatory to carry a Covid negative RT-PCR report up to 72 hours before entering Kerala.
- Tourists heading to Calicut must undergo the test on arrival and need to wait under quarantine till the test result.

Tamil Nadu
- Epass is mandatory. Register on this link to get an epass.
- Thermal screening is mandatory upon arrival.
- It is mandatory to carry a Covid negative RT-PCR report up to 72 hours before entering Tamil Nadu.
- Tourists who have taken the both dose of vaccination shall be exempted from having RT-PCR negative report.
- No restriction for inter-state travel within Tamil Nadu.

Uttar Pradesh
- Thermal screening is mandatory for all travelers.
- Tourists traveling to Utter Pradesh are mandatory to carry a Covid negative RT-PCR report up to 72 hours.
- Tourists traveling to Agra shall be mandatorily required to undergo the process of RT-PCR test upon arrival free of cost. If you have a negative RT-PCR report still you need to undergo this test.
